In the main gallery, Marilyn Bifano presents ‘Revealing Hidden Realms’, and in the upper gallery Exploring the Puddle Early Learning Centre presents ‘A Creative Exploration of the Telephone’.

‘Revealing Hidden Realms’ – Marilyn Bifano

150 Mile House artist, Marilyn Bifano presents an eclectic perspective of reality through artistic transformation of natural elements, the gifts of Mother Nature to reveal hidden realms.

Marilyn’s artistic journey began in 2009 with acrylics in a class room setting and over the past seven years has progressed through oils and other mediums.

Marilyn spends much of her time outdoors, walking her dogs. While in nature, she finds inspiration through Mother Nature’s offerings and her artistic gifts to create an awareness of hidden realms, a depiction of a different version of reality using the surrounding sights and materials. ‘Revealing Hidden Realms’ presents a combination of baskets, dolls, skulls and paintings.

‘A Creative Exploration of the Telephone’ – Exploring the Puddle Early Learning Centre

Using a multitude of different telephones, art mediums and pedagogical documentation, the littles and educators at Exploring the Puddle, Early Learning Centre present a collaborative and interactive display of their creative inquiry.

Exploring the Puddle Early Learning Centre, is a Reggio Emilia inspired facility, valuing a rich image of the child, the educator, the environment and the family. They hold fast to the belief that each child is competent and capable of their own learning process in the world around them. Their educators foster this by being co-learners alongside the children through play, exploration and long term learning projects.

Over the last 6 months, educators in all classrooms at Exploring the Puddle Early Learning Centre have been setting out different telephones in several different locations, both indoors and outdoors, to inspire discussion and foster curiosity and critical thinking, while guiding their learning with questions and wondering. The children participating range from 1 – 5 years old. Together they present their learning journey, and share it with the community.

Always free admission to the Gallery! Open Tuesday to Saturday 10:30am – 5:30pm, in the historic train station at the foot of Oliver Street. #1 Mackenzie Avenue North Williams Lake.
