Sept ’13 – Carin Covin / Sandra Hayes Gardiner

This month we are happy to have Carin Covin’s show Monuments and Sandra Hayes-Gardiner’s show One Life.

In Monuments, Carin has used deconstructionism to analyze and synthesize two works as a method of self-discovery, under the backdrop of memory. She maintains that memory resides between the public and private consciousness as a liminal entity.

Sandra has constructed a show of artifacts and documents from her past which is based on her book of memoirs called One Life. In it she explores her life from her earlier recollections through her teen years growing up in The Pas, Manitoba.

We invite you take some time to view these remarkable shows, as we consider memory, experience, and self-discovery.
